Lakeside Software has been named Technology Company of the Year for 2011 by
Automation Alley, Michigan's largest
technology business association, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Lakeside was selected over thousands of technology
companies in Michigan.
The award was presented October 14th at the Automation Alley Awards Gala held at Detroit's MGM Grand with
400-500 executives from the Michigan business world in attendance. In attendance were Dave Bing
(mayor, City of Detroit), Brooks Patterson (Oakland County executive), Mark Hackel
(Macomb County executive), Bob Ficano (Wayne Count executive), Doug Smith (MEDC), Ken Rogers
(CEO, Automation Alley) and other community leaders.
With nearly 1000 member companies, Automation Alley is Michigan's largest technology business association, driving growth and
economic development through a collaborative culture that focuses on workforce and business
development initiatives in Southeast Michigan. Automation Alley attracts the creators and consumers of
diverse technologies from a variety of industries around the world. The Automation Alley
region is home to more than 311,000 technology workers and 7,800 technology businesses.

In their research report identifying “Cool Vendors” in Personal Computing for 2011,
leading analyst firm Gartner chose Lakeside Software as one of five companies to receive
this coveted distinction.

In Gartner’s own words, this report “highlights vendors that offer a variety of solutions

Nearly 200 products were considered in The Best of VMworld 2009 Awards
in categories ranging from desktop virtualization to cloud computing. The
awards, sponsored by TechTarget's SearchServerVirtualization.com,
highlight the most innovative technologies at the show.
The finalist in the new technology category was Lakeside Software's SysTrack Image
Provisioning Planner.
