As Pre-Sales Technical Solution Engineer you will work alongside your regional sales team by leading the sales cycle from a technical perspective. You will be responsible for identifying the technical requirements within an opportunity, matching them to Lakeside Software solutions, and accelerating the sales cycle by positioning and demonstrating market differentiators. You will provide product demonstrations and evaluation proof of concepts to Lakeside prospects/customers (sometimes alongside partners). You will be able to talk and explain complicated technical solutions and pitch them at the required level of your audience with your end goal being to convince them to buy, resell or recommend Lakeside Software solutions.

Professional Qualities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 to 3 years of work experience
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure experience a must
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and maintain a high level of customer service at all times
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, presentation, and project management skills
  • Experience delivering solutions to large enterprises (Fortune 500, FTSE 100 etc.)
  • Experience with technical documentation and presentation experience
  • Ability to conduct meetings, document actions and follow up with all parties involved
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze computer systems and software, then articulate the problem and solution to all audiences
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work individually and within a highly collaborative team setting

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Professional certifications in technology like Microsoft and Citrix such as MCP, MCSE, CCA or CCEA preferred
  • Broad understanding of technologies covering many of the following:
    • Desktop technologies and solutions
    • Windows Server technologies
    • Virtualization technologies and techniques such as server-based computing, desktop virtualization
    • LAN/WAN networks
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix and Microsoft
