About Mike Schumacher

Michael Schumacher is the founder and CEO of Lakeside Software. Prior to founding Lakeside, he led the division as a director of software engineers at Cubix Corporation, where he directed product development. At Telebit Corporation, he oversaw the department as an engineer for network products.

Mike has long experience as an engineer in the field of software and has worked for ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards bodies, contributing significantly to technology development. He holds a master’s degree in information engineering from the University of Michigan.

About Dan Salinas

Daniel Salinas returns to Lakeside Software as Chief Operating Officer, steering global Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, and Business Development. With over 25 years of enterprise IT leadership—from his early roots at IBM to today’s AI-driven tech landscape—Dan brings a strategic mix of deep technical insight and business execution. Dan began his career at IBM, dedicating 18+ years to technical, sales, and management roles, where he directed global sales initiatives around smart business desktop cloud solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, along with an MBA from the Ross School of Business.

In 2010, Dan joined Lakeside Software as Vice President of Business Development, working directly with CEO Mike Schumacher and helping to position the company as a leader in digital experience and desktop analytics. After expanding his impact as Chief Revenue Officer at Relay Network and later at Nobl9, he is excited to return to Lakeside and lead the next phase of growth fueled by AI and edge observability.

About Tal Klein

Tal Klein returns to Lakeside after previously serving as CMO from 2015 to 2019. He most recently led marketing at the VeloCloud division of Broadcom, driving global brand growth and strategies for AI networking and edge connectivity solutions. Klein leads global marketing and brand strategy, driving awareness and adoption of Lakeside’s DEX solutions.

About Aleksey Shafransky

Aleksey Shafransky is Chief Technology Officer at Lakeside. He leads the company’s technology strategy and product engineering with an AI-first mandate—bringing AI into the SDLC and into customers’ hands—to advance platform reliability, user experience, and cost efficiency across Lakeside’s digital employee experience solutions.

An executive in SaaS companies serving IT professionals since 2008, Aleksey most recently served as SVP of R&D at Kaseya, where he led organizations of up to 500 people across Backup, IT Documentation, PSA, Security & Compliance, and RMM. During his tenure he helped double public-cloud cost efficiency (COGS), contributed to a 10x increase in company valuation, scaled backup products storing up to 10 exabytes in the cloud, and drove meaningful gains in reliability.

A software engineer by trade, he brings a hands-on approach to systems at scale and a clear vision for how AI will reshape enterprise IT and the end-user experience.

About Brian Curran

Brian Curran is a results-driven financial and operational executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the technology industry. He has a strong track record of scaling high-growth companies, leading global finance teams, and driving performance in early-stage, joint venture, and acquisition-driven environments.

Brian currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Lakeside Software. Prior to this role, he held CFO positions at Beep, Inc., Virtustream (a Dell Technologies subsidiary), and Netcracker Technology, where he led global finance organizations supporting complex software, cloud, and telecom solutions. Earlier in his career, Brian served as Corporate Controller at VCE, a joint venture between VMware, Cisco, and EMC. As one of VCE’s early employees, he played a key role in transforming the company into a billion-dollar business within six years.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Saint Michael’s College, an MBA from Assumption College, and a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University.

About Robert Hobbs

Bob is Chief Customer Officer at Lakeside Software, dedicated to our customers’ success. With more than 20 years of experience leading product and strategy teams, Hobbs most recently served as Lakeside’s vice president of strategy & products, where he was instrumental in scaling the company’s growth and shaping strategic initiatives that have positioned Lakeside as an industry leader. Prior to joining Lakeside, Hobbs held leadership roles at LHS Communications, Digiquant, and IBBS.

About Robert Dobson

Robert is responsible for the team supporting Lakeside’s partners. This involves partners of all types (Global Systems Integrators, Managed Service Providers, OEMs, Distributors, Resellers and Technology Alliance Partners), aiding in all parts of the relationship from offering development, enablement, pre-sales and delivery. He is an expert in end user computing and is responsible for driving internal technical direction and engagement with partners.

Robert has over 20 years of experience in the end user computing domain across various organizations and handles various aspects of conceptualizing and commissioning of EUC technologies across large global multinational organizations.

Robert is a graduate in Computer Systems & Networks from the University of Plymouth. Prior to Lakeside, Robert held senior positions at Citrix, AppSense and Atlantis Computing.

About Geoff Hixon

Geoff Hixon is the VP of Global Sales at Lakeside. He has nearly 30 years’ experience working in IT operations and advising on end-user computing challenges, with 15+ of those years at Lakeside leading both solutions engineering and sales functions.

Geoff has assisted thousands of customers through their IT projects, VDI migrations, hardware refreshes, OS migrations, acquisitions, root cause analysis, and much more to be successful. He has worked with companies as small as 100 systems to enterprise customers with hundreds of thousands of systems.

Prior to Lakeside, Geoff worked in the trenches as a systems administrator as well as an IT management consultant. This hands-on experience has led him to assist others with their IT administration challenges, helping enterprises succeed in optimizing IT spend and improving end-user experience with SysTrack.

About Erica McBride

As Vice President of People & Culture at Lakeside Software, Erica McBride leads all aspects of the company’s people strategy, spanning talent acquisition, leadership development, compensation, benefits, and employee engagement. She is focused on building a high-performance, human-centered culture that supports Lakeside’s growth and global teams.

Erica’s career includes more than 13 years at Apple, where she helped build and scale the company’s global talent development organization. During her tenure, she helped shape Apple’s distinctive approach to leadership, creativity, and growth across a rapidly scaling global workforce.

Following her time at Apple, Erica brought her expertise to both AdTech and super-consolidator environments, serving as Chief People Officer at Amobee and later as Head of People at Provi. In these roles, she led HR transformation and integration across acquired businesses, driving engagement, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development during periods of significant growth and change.

Erica holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Penn State University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with a concentration in Human Resources. She is also certified in multiple leadership and coaching methodologies.

About Mathilde van Wijk

Mathilde van Wijk is a seasoned leader with a passion for building high-performing, collaborative teams that empower one another and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Known for a customer-centric approach, Mathilde focuses on driving measurable results and ensuring value-driven solutions that enhance client success.

With over 25 years of experience in Customer Success, Support, and Operations within the proprietary software industry, Mathilde brings deep expertise across multiple sectors, including healthcare, finance, communications, and education. In her current role at Lakeside Software, Mathilde leads the Global Customer Success and Support teams, ensuring world-class service and strategic value for clients worldwide.

Prior to joining Lakeside, Mathilde served as Vice President of Customer Success at Spoke, a leading software provider for the healthcare industry, where for a decade Mathilde managed global teams delivering customer service, project management, and critical communications.

Mathilde holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Education from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.

About Ed Wegryn

Ed is the Vice President of Engineering at Lakeside and has almost 30 years of experience in enterprise software development. Coding since high school, Ed has a strong programming background and a love of all things technical. He built the current Lakeside engineering team and is involved with all aspects of the development cycle.

Ed has a Computer Science degree from the University of Michigan. Prior to Lakeside, Ed held several roles at Comshare, later Infor, a global leader in business cloud solutions, where he was the architect of their Performance Management applications.
