Business Continuity Planning – We’re Here for You

Last week, our partner Microsoft stepped up by offering free Microsoft Teams to help organizations moving to remote work in response to COVID-19 (coronavirus). As a global company making our own plans to minimize business disruptions and protect employee health and safety, this got us thinking about what we could do to help our customers and the wider community during this challenging time.

We know that transitioning a workforce to fully remote isn’t an easy feat, particularly for larger organizations with complex IT environments. We also recognize that there is a real, immediate need for this shift and customers have been asking us how we can help them prepare. That is why we’ve decided to release a free remote work planning solution that will enable organizations to assess their current IT landscape, understand what employees need to get work done while working remotely, and transition staff as seamlessly as possible.

The solution provides free access to SysTrack, our digital experience monitoring platform, which is used by thousands of organizations worldwide to monitor the impact of IT performance on productivity. Within 48 hours, organizations can start to understand their work-from-home compatibility based on factors like hardware and critical applications.

To support the need for quick response, the assessment generates a custom report after a week of collection outlining the ways this information can be used to support business continuity. The report is available to current customers as well and can be downloaded as a SysTrack Kit.

As far as our internal plans, Lakeside is following the guidance of public health authorities to keep our staff safe and healthy. We do not anticipate any disruption to customers during this time and we have the resources in place to allow all staff to work remotely if needed.
