Lakeside Software, Inc. Hires Dan Salinas, IBM Practice Executive as Vice President of Business Development

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan ― December 27, 2010 ― Lakeside Software, a leader in design, planning, and management tools for desktop virtualization today announced Dan Salinas as its new VP, Business Development effective immediately.

Salinas joins Lakeside from IBM, where he was most recently a National Practice Executive focused on delivering solutions to private and public desktop clouds for large and medium size enterprises.

“Dan brings a wealth of experience to Lakeside in the development of large enterprise business, as well as specific expertise in the cloud and virtualization market space”, said Lakeside CEO Michael Schumacher. “Dan will lead strategy, planning and execution in our strategic business development in desktop solutions as well as helping to strengthen marketing support with our solution partners.”

Salinas spent 17 years with IBM in various technical, sales, and management positions. He holds a undergraduate BSEE from the University of Michigan in computer science and electrical engineering and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
